About Section

What is a direct cremation?

A direct cremation simplifies the funeral process and removes all the unnecessary extras that can add extra costs or stress at an already difficult time. With a direct cremation there are far less elements to organise such as the service, flowers, transport, music, choosing a coffin or completing excessive paperwork.

How do direct cremations work?

We’ll bring the deceased person into our care at our Bangor or Porthmadog funeral home and prepare them for the cremation. The cremation will take place usually within 10 working days of the arrangements being made with us. Afterwards, you can collect the ashes from us or we can deliver them anywhere within a 50-mile radius of Bangor.

What about a service?

There is no service with a direct cremation/unattended funeral. Many people choose to organise a celebration of life or informal remembrance event for their loved one after the cremation. This can help with the grieving process.
